Apnea Survival defined

Apnea – A quiet pause and interlude of stillness between breaths, where we can exist in a place free from distractions and external pressures to access insights, introspection and a deeper connection with the self.  Enabling us to create balance amidst the chaos of life’s relentless pace.

Survival – The act of continuing to live or exist, especially under challenging or life-threatening conditions. It encompasses resilience, endurance, and the capability to overcome obstacles and recover from difficult situations.

With over 3 decades of devoted practice and performance in high-stress tactical and critical environments, Jason Rice, the creator of Apnea Survival, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. Drawing on insights from surfing, freediving, and first response communities, Jason has honed his methods to perfection, integrating the wisdom of all five of nature’s elements into his teachings.

The creator

Jason is a respected mentor and coach who believes all humans possess a system of inbuilt knowledge that is increasingly overlooked in the modern world. His life’s work is focused on equipping others with the confidence to unlock and trust this inner power. With over 30 years of experience as a first responder in high-risk environments, coupled with a lifetime of aquatic and athletic adventuring, he is uniquely qualified to guide potential dolphins along their journey of self-discovery. Jason’s expertise spans a variety of diverse vocations and modalities. From diving to health and fitness, he has coached world champion athletes across multiple disciplines. He is also experienced in developing and facilitating interventions for vulnerable and at risk populations, training for maritime and aviation rescue sectors, surf life savers, first responders, and the military.
