Heli Murray is a living embodiment of the water element, finding a deep sense of home and belonging within its embrace. For Heli, water is more than just a physical presence; it’s a sanctuary that holds, supports, and sometimes challenges her, reflecting the ebb and flow of life itself. Beneath the surface’s constant flux, she discovers calm, beauty, and light, even in the most tumultuous seas.

The ocean is a powerful metaphor for Heli’s life, its rhythm, shape, and movement resonate with her deeply, connecting her to a sense of oneness and peace beyond her physical being. This connection fuels her curiosity, empathy, and desire to make sense of the world around her, traits that define her unique contributions to those she works with.

What Heli won’t tell you, due to her remarkable humility, is that she is also a world champion surf lifesaver, paddle athlete, and a prolific ocean swimmer. Her incredible accomplishments in the water are a testament to her deep connection with the ocean, but despite this she remains humble and focused on helping others.

As a therapist and birth educator with over two decades of experience, Heli has guided countless women and couples through one of life’s most intense and intimate experiences, childbirth. Her work delves into the physiology of stress, the nervous and hormonal systems, and the mind-body connection. She has witnessed first hand the transformative power of conscious breathing and the profound impact of understanding how our bodies work.

Heli’s approach goes beyond traditional therapy—she focuses on creating awareness, growth, and consciousness, helping people slow down, stay present, and make choices that align with their values. Her lifelong love of water has been an enduring resource through both joy and heartache, offering immense soothing and enrichment. The Apnea Survival tools have allowed her to bring these two worlds together, supporting others in living with more presence and awareness.

Heli’s loves offering simple, powerful tools that help people reconnect with their strengths, dreams, and opportunities to live a wholehearted and wonderful life. To keep her own life force strong, Heli loves moving her body in the water, soaking up the sun and light, and sharing hugs with presence. These practices keep her connected, energised, and ready to support others on their journey toward greater awareness and fulfillment.

For Heli, ‘being your own dolphin’ means embodying presence and connection, much like the dolphin that joyfully plays in its element, attuned to the rhythms of the water. She believes in embracing discomfort, both in the physical and interpersonal realms, with calm and conviction, knowing that it will pass and that she is safe. This philosophy has guided her through many breakthrough moments, including a life-changing freediving experience where she was able to overcome past trauma by tapping into her inner resources and truly feeling safe.
